Friday, January 5, 2018 18 Tevet 5778

5:45 PM - 8:30 PMSocial Hall/Lobby

A monthly discussion series where we will learn and discuss multiple narratives related to Israel in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Please come prepared to listen, to learn, and to share. 5:45pm schmoozing and light refreshments, 6:00pm discussion, 7:15pm services. Cost: $10 per session. $7 per child under 10. Babysitting by request. RSVPs are appreciated at least six days before the start of each session. This session will be facilitated by Rabbi Mark Goodman, Spiritual leader of Congregation Har Mishpacha in Steamboat Springs and his session will be called, "The Powerful and the Powerless". It will focus on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as a narrative of victims and perpetrators; of those that make the decisions, and those that are subjected to the realities that those decisions create.  In this session, we'll look at those in power and those struggling to make themselves heard.   Note: If you would like to continue the discussion about early Zionism (or a different topic) in an ongoing, smaller group, please contact Dr. Julie Lieber at jlieber@kevah.org.  Babysitting may be available upon request. Nobody will be turned away for lack of ability to pay, but please let us know so we can prepare enough food. For a complete description of the series,  CLICK HERE. For more information, please contact Jason Moses at moses.jason@gmail.com.
