Community Tikkun Leil Shavuot

As has been the case in years past, we will be co-sponsoring our Tikkun Leil Shavuot with neighboring congregations. This year, we will be meeting at Temple Emanuel, along with B'nai Havurah, and the Kabbalah Experience. 

6:00 p.m. Seudah Shlishit

7:00 p.m. Spiritual Healing Shavuot Worship. The conclusion of the Mind, Body, and Soul Rose Medical Program Series with an in-depth exploration of the soul and our spiritual selves.

8:00 p.m. "Whose Verse is it Anyway?" A Ted-Talk style presentation featuring a discussion of favorite verse of Torah, featuring Rabbi Rachel Kobrin, Rev. Dr. Valerie Jackson, Ken Fellman, and Judge Robert Hyatt for a fascinating and insightful chat.

9:00 p.m. Cheesecake Competition. Break out your cookbooks and bring a cheesecake and your appetite to see who wins the title of best cheesecake! Sign up HERE.

9:30 p.m. Study sessions. Dig into study with interactive breakout sessions. Rabbi Evette Lutman, Risa Aqua, David Sanders, and Rabbi Baskin will lead.

10:30 p.m. Kirtan with Hal Aqua and Steve Brodsky. Hal Aqua and Steve Brodsky will help us experience the revelation of Torah through spirited music and song. 


Sunday Morning, June 9

Shavuot morning services, beginning at 9:30 a.m., followed by light lunch. We will then be co-sponsoring a lunch and learn at BMH-BJ (560 S. Monaco Pkwy., Denver, 80224), at which various rabbis from the community will teach, "These are a Few of My Favorite Things" from beloved Jewish texts. Register for the lunch HERE.

Monday Morning, June 10

Shavuot Day 2 service begins at 9:30 a.m., including participatory Torah learning, the Book of Ruth, and Yizkor at about 11:00 a.m. Lunch to follow.
