Rodef Shalom ECEC Staff

Ally Spanbauer - Director

Hello families!  My name is Ally, and I am honored to be the Director at Rodef Shalom ECEC.  This will be my third year at Rodef.  Prior to taking on the Director role I was the lead teacher in the one year old classroom.  My son has been attending Rodef for four years, and will be graduating from PreK in the spring.  Rodef to me is my home away from home.  I wake up every morning excited for the daily adventures with my staff and the amazing children and families that fill our hallways.  Through working at Rodef I discovered my true passion for ECE and cannot imagine spending time anywhere else.  I am proud to be a part of a school that not only teaches but models community, respect, kindness, and a love for learning.  I have worked with children since I was fifteen as a camp counselor, nanny, and running several before and after school programs.  I enjoy continuing my ECE education through additional college courses, cohort learning trips, and classes offered through programs such as Colorado Shines and Denver Early Childhood Council.  When I'm not at Rodef I stay busy with my son Cooper and our dog Maggie.  I am a Colorado native and love to get outdoors whether hiking, skiing, or relaxing on a patio with good friends.  Email Ally

Cassie Rodriguez

My name is Cassandra Rodriguez. I have worked at Rodef Shalom for the past year. I found the center when I was looking for a Pre-K for my son. I fell in love with the Montessori feel of the school and the learning through play philosophy.  I was fortunate enough to be given an opportunity to come and work with a fabulous team down in the infant room! My educational background is a Bachelors in Early Childhood through 6th grade. Before I worked and lived here in Denver I was a first grade teacher in Texas for 7 years

Aleph - One Year Old Classroom

Katie Gonzalez

This is my third year at Rodef, my second year in the one year old classroom.   My favorite part of teaching in the one's is watching children's personalities develop throughout the year.  I have a daughter, Itzy in the PreK classroom.  We love Rodef because it's feels like a big family.

Christina Loviska

Hello! I moved to Colorado five years ago from Michigan. I have loved children since I can remember, and am so honored to be a part of the family here at Rodef Shalom! This is my first year teaching at Rodef, but I originally fell in love with the atmosphere and philosophy as a nanny to a child who attend Rodef for many years.  I am blessed to be given the opportunity to care for these kids, and I am thankful everyday for the opportunities that come my way. Loving these children is easy, leaving them when my time is up is hard.

Esli Hinojos

Hello! I am currently a Mathematics major at the School of Mines in Golden. If I could, I'd read a memoir over a chess game where you solve an equation before you make a move. These three things have one thing in common, potential. Potential to transform your thinking, potential to open your mind, or potential to get someone angry, regardless they have potential.

My only passion greater than math is watching the evolution of potential which is why I love teaching. I've had the amazing opportunity to work with every age group from elementary to college students, however I had never worked with younger kids. When Rodef gave me the amazing opportunity to be part of the staff I took it in a heartbeat and loved it.

What I love the most about Rodef is knowing that everyday as soon as I walk through those doors, in my hands I hold a part of tomorrow's generation and that I play a role in how their potential evolves in 20 years.

Bet - Two Year Old Classroom

Monica Galvan

I am the lead teacher in the BET (2year old) classroom. I began working at Rodef Shalom Preschool in February 2013 and have made amazing relationships with children and parents over the years. I love teaching the BET class because I feel they grow so much at that age, I get to help them learn how to express how they are feeling, and they really come into their own personality at that age. Working at Rodef has been so wonderful because we have built a place where children and families feel comfortable and welcomed. I love that children from every classroom get to interact together and that I get to watch all of them grow up!

Liat Levine

I have been teaching at Rodef for four years.  Prior to teaching I was a nanny for many years.  I love working with preschool age children because every day feels like an adventure.  Rodef to me is like a small family.  All of my family is in Israel and when I am here it feels like home.

I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology as well as a Masters of Public Health in Community and Behavioral Health. I have been working with children for over 15 years and have every intention of continuing my work with children as I begin my career in the public health field. I believe education and prevention, as well as love and encouragement, are key to a child’s health and happiness.

Gimmel - Three Year Old Classroom

Caity Blum

This is my eleventh year at Rodef.  I have worked with kids since I was 17 in all different arenas.  This is my third year in the fourth year in the three year old classroom.  My favorite part of working with the three's is seeing children's genuine sense of self emerge.  I love Rodef because it is one of the most honest places I have ever worked.  We strive to put our words and philosophy into action daily and the staff it passionate and committed to our vision.   When I'm not at Rodef I enjoy cooking, reading, and spending time with my husband and pets.

I am so excited to be working at Rodef Shalom and become a part of this amazing community of families and teachers.  I received my teaching license after completing a year of student teaching at the Denver Green School right down the road! I am looking forward to making this an amazing school year for our kids.

Daled - PreK Classroom

Dora Muzykant

My name is Dora Muzykant and I am originally from Russia. I moved to Denver in 1991. I have a B.A in Art and Culture Studies, and M.A. in Management and Education. I have taught in many educational settings and I have worked with various groups of learners (college to preschool) over the last 46 years. This will be my 26th year teaching in Early Child Education preschools, and my 17th year as a religious school teacher at Temple Sinai. In 1995 I received an award from Central Agency for Jewish Education, and in 2013 I was honored as Teacher of the Year. In 2011 I graduated from the Melton school (Hebrew University of Jerusalem). I am a life long learner and have a great love for children and enjoy watching them make friends, learn from each other, and use their creativity. I find teaching spiritually enriching and personally satisfying.  I am so happy to work in a lovely school with such a supportive and warm environment. This is an amazing center that makes everyone feel welcome.  Teaching is the best job anyone could have, and I love it.

Hi, Daled families! I am so excited to be teaching Pre-K beginning in this year I look forward to working and growing with all of you and your children. This will be my 6th year here at Rodef. I graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Elementary Education in 2008. I then taught at the elementary level for 2 years before discovering my love and passion for Early Childhood Education. The final year of preschool is such an exciting year of growth and learning and I feel so fortunate to be able to teach your children and get them ready for Kindergarten. I love my Rodef family and feel lucky having the opportunity to share them with my 2 year old son, Myles.
