  • Our Education

Rodef Shsmall schoolalom Early Childhood Education Center was established and licensed by the State of Colorado in 2001. We are dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and respectful environment with an emphasis on whole child development: social, emotional, physical, and cognitive. Through themes and long-term projects, each child is given the opportunity to thrive, grow, and have fun while developing curiosity and a love for learning. Our school and classes are small in order to ensure optimal learning  experiences for each child. Rodef Shalom participates in the Denver Preschool Program, is Qualistar rated, and is committed to providing a high quality early childhood program so that each child may develop into his or her fullest potential.

    Our Curriculum

Because we believe that each child is full of possibility and potential, our curriculum is infused with the Reggio Emilia principles of purposeful spaces which provoke children’s thinking, learning, and, sense of family and community. In line with our Jewish Heritage, our curriculum includes the celebration and observance of Jewish holidays, customs, and values. Friday mornings are very special with an all school Shabbat celebration of group singing and dancing, tzedakah, and often a special visit from Rabbi Bernard Gerson. Our Staff is made up of warm, caring professionals who have a genuine love of children. Our teachers are highly qualified and experienced, and participate in ongoing early childhood training.

    Our Program Goals

    1. Meeting the diverse needs of each child by being attentive to his or her individual developmental level.

    2. Immersing each child in a relaxed, loving environment, rich in opportunities for discovery, play and exploration.

    3. Encouraging each child to understand cooperative play, respect of others, and build positive relationships with peers.

    4. Guiding children toward an awareness of who they are as individuals, as Jews and as members of the larger community in which they live.

    5. Forging a partnership with parents to enhance and expand the foundations they have at home.
