| Anita Hill, our ECEC Director, moved to Denver in 1989 from San Diego, California. Anita has held equivalent positions for more than 12 years. She has been with Rodef Shalom ECEC since 2008. Previously, she worked in both private schools and large corporations. Anita has her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and a Ph.D. and Masters in Educational Psychology. She has been teaching since 1988 and loves being around children. Anita coached bowling for many years to children ages three to eight in Longmont, was appointed to the Longmont Youth Services Advisory Board, participated with the local Chamber of Commerce, and coached her son's soccer team. In her spare time, Anita likes to read, bowl, golf, and eat sushi. |

| Desiree Hamilton has been an assistant teacher at Rodef Shalom ECEC since 2005. She started working with our three year olds and is currently in the Pre-K classroom. Prior to coming to Rodef, Desiree worked at Guardian Angel Day Care and Preschool, working with children ages infant through school age. Desiree is married and the mother of three ranging in age from 15 to 23. Her oldest son is in a local Colorado band and Desiree loves to hear him play. In her spare time she is as a massage therapists, enjoys cooking, traveling, and loves listening to music.

Fredie Halvorsen has been a teacher since 1994. Fredie grew up in Lowell, Massachusetts and moved to Denver in 1971. Fredie has been with our preschool since 2008 and is the lead teacher in our Pre-K class. Her Bachelor degree is in chemistry and her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction for Elementary Education. As a substitute teacher, Fredie has taught all subjects in grades kindergarten through sixth. She brings with her experiences in Every Day Math and various other literacy programs. Fredie also teaches at Kihilat Rodef on Shabbat. Fredie is married, has three grown children, and enjoys reading, stitching, and being at Rodef Shalom. |

| Madison Hamilton is another assistant teacher in the 18 month old class. Madison has been working at Rodef Shalom ECEC since 2008 as a substitute teacher. She was born in San Diego, California and moved to Colorado at the age of three. Madison is currently at Metropolitan State College of Denver and is pursuing her degree in Integrative Therapeutic Practices. In her spare time Madison enjoys yoga, reading, and cooking. |
Aaron Carpenter, our lead teacher for the two year old class, joined us in 2011. Aaron grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and moved to Denver in 2011. He attended college at Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania and earned a degree in Child Development and Education. Aaron has worked with children of all ages ranging from Head Start programs to summer camp programs for adolescence. In his spare time, Aaron enjoys music, traveling, and being outdoors. |

| Insiya Tinwala is one of our assistant teachers in the 18 month old class. She has been with Rodef Shalom ECEC 2009. Insiya grew up in India and moved to the United States in 2003. She has a Bachelor's degree in Economics and has taken many early childhood classes. Those classes include Child Development, Principles and Practices in Early Childhood Education, Introduction to Early Childhood Education among others. Insiya enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and traveling. |
Jennifer Shurtleff, our lead teacher for the 18 month old class since 2010, grew up in Artesia, California. She lived in the same house for thirty five years. Jennifer moved to Colorado in 1992. Jennifer has her Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts, with a concentration in Adaptive Physical Education for grades kindergarten through 12th. Jennifer has worked with children of all ages and is excited to be here. When Jennifer is not working she loves to spend time with her family, being outdoors, and enjoys baseball. |

| Katie Marshall, a Denver native,grew up dancing incessantly. After receiving her BFA in Dance from University of Wyoming, she danced professionally with companies in Denver and Chicago. Additionally, Katie has taught dancing to children of all ages at many different educational and dance schools. Katie has completed courses in Early Childhood Education to complete her Group Leader Qualifications and is now pursuing her teaching certificate. Katie has been teaching at Rodef Shalom since November 2008 and is the lead teacher in the three year old class. When Katie is not dancing and/ or teaching, she enjoys doing yoga and playing music with her husband Ed. | Kristin Martinez grew up on a cattle ranch in Red Feathers Lakes, Colorado, and has lived in Denver for eight years. Kristin began working with children in 1999, and has been with Rodef's ECEC since June 2008. She is an assistant teacher in our three year old class and has worked with children ranging from infants to age twelve in both school and home settings. When Kristin is with children she strives to help them discover the best of themselves and loves to engage in their sense of wonder! When not in the classroom, Kristin spends most of her time in the kitchen as she loves the culinary arts and is trained in French Pastry. She continues to be a mountain girl at heart, snowshoeing and hiking whenever she can. |
